New Home Construction (Build on Your Land) in Lakewood

For new homes on your land, ramblers and two-story homes in Lakewood, you deal with Greg directly — no salesman, no middleman. He's based in Rainier, about 23 miles away, with 33 years of experience.

In the older neighborhoods here, a lot of the work is remodels, additions, ADUs and decks on tight lots, built to the city's permit and inspection schedule. What you need is one builder who handles all of it and tells you the truth about cost and timing.

One customer called Greg “a man of integrity.” Another wrote that he “does excellent work.”

Pierce County, WA

New Home Construction (Build on Your Land) around Lakewood

Greg works all over Lakewood — near Tillicum, American Lake North County Park and Rigney State Park and out by Lakewood Towne Center and McCall Hill — and throughout Pierce County.

Lakewood is a Pierce County city of lakes just south of Tacoma, beside Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Lakewood is about 23 miles north of our base in Rainier, well inside our 100-mile service area.

Western Washington buildings fight water more than anything — months of rain, moss on the roof, rot wherever wood stays wet, and soils that hold moisture. A building lasts when it sits on a proper foundation with drainage around it, is wrapped and flashed right, and is built to dry out.

Questions

New Home Construction (Build on Your Land) in Lakewood: FAQs

Do you do new home construction (build on your land) in Lakewood, WA?

Yes. Lakewood is about 23 miles north of our base in Rainier, well inside our 100-mile service area. Greg handles new homes on your land, ramblers and two-story homes there, and the estimate is free.

Do I need a permit for new home construction (build on your land) in Lakewood?

It depends on the project. When one is needed, Greg pulls the permit from the City of Lakewood's building department and builds to whatever the permit and inspection require.

Do I need to own the land before we talk?

No. Greg can look at a lot you are considering and point out what would affect building on it, like access, slope, soil or drainage. That visit can keep you from buying a lot that is expensive to build on.

Can I choose my own floor plan?

Yes. You can bring a plan, pick from proven rambler and two-story layouts, or adjust one to fit your lot and the way your family lives. If you want something fully one of a kind, Greg builds custom homes too.

How long does it take to build a new home?

It depends on the size of the home, how long permit review takes where you live, the season and how quickly finish selections are made. Greg lays out a schedule at the start and keeps you posted as each stage is done. Making your selections early is the best way to keep the job moving.

Does building on rural land in Western Washington take extra site work?

Often it does. Many lots here have glacial till or clay that drains poorly, a high water table in winter, or wetlands and slopes the county wants protected. We look at all of that up front, plan the drainage and foundation to suit, and schedule earthwork for drier stretches when we can. Getting the site right is what keeps a crawlspace dry year after year.
