New Home Construction (Build on Your Land) in Puyallup

Looking for a new home builder in Puyallup? Greg Myers Construction is based in Rainier, about 29 miles away, and Puyallup is part of Greg's regular service area. He handles new homes on your land, ramblers and two-story homes.

In the older neighborhoods here, a lot of the work is remodels, additions, ADUs and decks on tight lots, built to the city's permit and inspection schedule. What you need is one builder who handles all of it and tells you the truth about cost and timing.

One customer called Greg “a man of integrity.” Another wrote that he “does excellent work.”

New Home Construction (Build on Your Land) around Puyallup

Greg works all over Puyallup — near Pioneer Park, Wildwood Park and Karshner Museum and out by White River — and throughout Pierce County.

Puyallup sits in the Puyallup River valley in Pierce County, home of the Washington State Fair. Puyallup is about 29 miles northeast of our base in Rainier, well inside our 100-mile service area.

Western Washington buildings fight water more than anything — months of rain, moss on the roof, rot wherever wood stays wet, and soils that hold moisture. A building lasts when it sits on a proper foundation with drainage around it, is wrapped and flashed right, and is built to dry out.

Questions

New Home Construction (Build on Your Land) in Puyallup: FAQs

Do you do new home construction (build on your land) in Puyallup, WA?

Yes. Puyallup is about 29 miles northeast of our base in Rainier, well inside our 100-mile service area. Greg handles new homes on your land, ramblers and two-story homes there, and the estimate is free.

Do I need a permit for new home construction (build on your land) in Puyallup?

It depends on the project. When one is needed, Greg pulls the permit from the City of Puyallup's building department and builds to whatever the permit and inspection require.

Can I choose my own floor plan?

Yes. You can bring a plan, pick from proven rambler and two-story layouts, or adjust one to fit your lot and the way your family lives. If you want something fully one of a kind, Greg builds custom homes too.

How long does it take to build a new home?

It depends on the size of the home, how long permit review takes where you live, the season and how quickly finish selections are made. Greg lays out a schedule at the start and keeps you posted as each stage is done. Making your selections early is the best way to keep the job moving.

Does building on rural land in Western Washington take extra site work?

Often it does. Many lots here have glacial till or clay that drains poorly, a high water table in winter, or wetlands and slopes the county wants protected. We look at all of that up front, plan the drainage and foundation to suit, and schedule earthwork for drier stretches when we can. Getting the site right is what keeps a crawlspace dry year after year.

How much does it cost to build a new home on my land?

The size of the house, the plan and the finishes set most of the price, and the lot sets the rest. Clearing, a long driveway, grading and foundation work for poor soil can add a lot on rural land, while a ready lot in a neighborhood adds very little. Greg's free estimate comes after he has walked the lot, so the number covers the site work as well as the house.
